01The brief
Montgomery Landscape serves homeowners across Richmond with landscape enhancements and premium lawn care. The existing React site scored 96/100 across 34 indexable URLs in my SEO crawler; the approved redesign existed only as a single static page scoring 61. Deploying the pretty version over the ranking one would have deleted 33 URLs Google already trusted.
02What I built
Every section of the redesign — header and utility bar, hero, services, packages, FAQ, reviews, service area, privacy policy — ported onto the live codebase with the original URLs intact and each page prerendered at build time. Then the business tools: an Instant Lawn Estimate that turns an address into a measured lawn and a price in seconds, a seasonal blog, and a field CRM with a capacity engine for the 2027 season. Releases ship as versioned, hash-verified zips the owner deploys himself.
03Outcome
When I first crawled montgomerylandscaperva.com in July 2026 it was a single-page app: Google could see one page and ten problems. By October the live site crawls at 38 pages with one open finding and none critical, holding a 96/100 health score in back-to-back monthly snapshots. The redesign went live with every ranking page still in place, and the quote tool now prices any address in the service area.
