01The brief
Authentication you can shake hands with. The prototype had to produce genuine time-based one-time codes that any website accepts, gate them behind a gesture, and stay honest about what it is not — no FIDO2 or secure-element claims it can't back.
02What I built
Handshake firmware on the micro:bit driving a five-servo robotic hand, a desktop control console, and a Phase-A hardening pass: production builds disable the REPL, remove the admin code path, print nothing secret on serial, and put provisioning behind a 60-second physical button hold. Around it: the brand and logo system, a press and social kit, a pre-Kickstarter readiness review with ten blockers and six owner decisions written down, and the 3D-printed case and weighted base produced on Hive Foundry's own printer.
03Outcome
A working, hardened prototype with a launch plan. The campaign is gated on the remaining hardware and enclosure tests — nothing ships before those pass.
